From October 15 to 27, 2025, more than 1,000 native language lovers joined the regional campaign "The Greatness of the Mother Tongue" dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. Initiated by the Donetsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth Creativity, the event became part of the patriotic platform "7 Special Forces of Ukrainians" aimed at supporting the national consciousness and cultural heritage of Ukrainians.
Participants created thematic videos with recitations of poems by Ukrainian poets, photos with flyers with quotes or poems, collages, compositions, and drawings.
All the creative works were published on the "Extracurricular activities of Donetsk region" Facebook page, where they could receive support and feedback from the audience. The number of likes determined the winners:
- Yana Varushyna, Anna Hatsula - Vuhledar Secondary School No. 2 of the Vuhledar City Council;
- Renata Arikh - Center for Children and Youth Creativity of the Velykonovosilkivka Village Council;
- Oleksandr Romensky - Lyceum No. 2 of Lyman City Council;
- Veronika Sytnyk - Selydivskyi Lyceum No. 1 of the Selydivskyi City Council;
- Mykyta Khodyko, Daria Nerovna, Oleksandra Yaremchuk - Educational complex "Secondary school of I-III degrees No. 7 - preschool educational institution" Dobropil City Council;
- Tetiana Chepurna - Yariv Lyceum of Lyman City Council;
- Vasilisa Kamashchenko - Toretsk Secondary School No. 6 - Supporting Institution Toretsk City Military-Civilian Administration.
Let the native word be a talisman and spiritual support for us. Let's cherish the Ukrainian language with pride and love, because it is the basis of our national identity!
