The war has changed the lives of many Ukrainians but has not broken their determination to work and grow. A vivid example of this is the story of entrepreneur Dmytro Sirenko from Myrnohrad.
Before the war, Dmytro ran a small business repairing computer equipment. Because of the hostilities, he had to close his shop, but his desire to work and rebuild his business never faded.
Support came from the Employment Service. Dmytro became a winner of the state grant program “Own Business” and used the grant funds to open a new service center, “Computer SERVIS,” in Chornomorsk — almost 700 kilometers from his hometown.
The entrepreneur not only revived his business but also created a new job by hiring an internally displaced woman as a sales consultant. He also took advantage of a state compensation program for employing internally displaced persons (IDPs), which further strengthened the financial stability of his enterprise.
