The All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity is traditionally held on Ukrainian Literacy and Language Day. This is not just a language event—it is a symbol of unity for all Ukrainians, wherever they may be.
This event has special significance for Donetsk Oblast. The conditions in which the region finds itself have forced many residents to leave their homes, and the staff of enterprises, institutions, educational and cultural establishments to relocate and resume their work in safer regions.
But even in these new circumstances, the people of Donetsk continue to work, preserve cultural traditions, and support the Ukrainian language.
Today, on a day that is significant for all Ukrainians, employees of district and local administrations, structural units of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, educators, employees of museums, libraries, cultural centers, art schools, and other cultural institutions in Donetsk region gathered in various cities — from Dnipro and Poltava to Lviv and Uzhhorod — to simultaneously, together with the whole country, write a dictation of unity.
This is a gesture of support, memory, and faith in our native language, culture, and return home.
Despite the occupation and losses, Donetsk region continues to live and fight, and the radio dictation is another confirmation of this.
The Ukrainian language resounds where there is a Ukrainian heart. And that is the main thing!
