The Donetsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Culture has summarized the results of the annual open festival-competition of patriotic songs, “Revolution of Song.” Based on the results of the competitive auditions, the jury selected the 2026 winners.
The festival, founded in Donetsk Oblast in 2016, has become an important platform for the development of vocal art, the promotion of Ukrainian songs, and the support of creative groups and performers. Since 2022, the competition has been held remotely, allowing participants from various regions of Ukraine to take part.
This year, the competition brought together nearly a thousand participants from the Donetsk, Rivne, Volyn, Cherkasy, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, Vinnytsia, and Kharkiv regions, as well as the city of Kyiv. In the second round, the jury evaluated 125 performances by artists ranging in age from 6 to 87.
The competition program included pop and rock music, original songs, and music videos. The diversity of genres and age groups among the participants demonstrated significant interest in Ukrainian songwriting and the artists’ desire to develop national culture even in wartime. The festival also served as a space for creative unity among people of different generations and regions, helping to maintain a connection with their homeland.
