A meeting of the Commission for Selecting Candidates for Scholarships for Athletes and Coaches in Donetsk Oblast was held in Donetsk Oblast, chaired by Ihor Boiko, Deputy Head of the Donetsk Oblast State Administration.

During the meeting, participants discussed amendments to the list of athletes and coaches in Donetsk Oblast for the awarding of scholarships in 2026. Particular attention was paid to compliance with anti-corruption legislation, specifically the prevention of conflicts of interest in the decision-making process.

Ihor Boiko emphasized that the awarding of 110 scholarships—80 of which are intended for athletes and 30 for coaching staff—is aimed at ensuring appropriate conditions for the development of high-performance sports in the region. It is also an important tool for establishing a system of moral and material incentives to achieve consistently high results.

Following the meeting, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Regional State Administration was tasked with preparing a draft order from the Head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
