The Donetsk Youth Palace "Yunist" announces an online marathon of readers "The Poetic Wonderland of Lina Kostenko."
This event was created as an open artistic space for those who appreciate the depth of the words of the outstanding poet and her unwavering civic position. The marathon aims to unite talented young people around poetry, which teaches them not to be indifferent and shapes true values in modern Ukrainian society.
The online marathon will take place from March 13 to 19, 2026, in a remote format.
Students and teachers of general secondary, extracurricular, vocational, pre-higher, and higher education institutions are invited to participate.
Video recordings of artistic readings of Lina Kostenko's poems, selected by the participants themselves, are accepted. Competition videos should reveal the relevance of poetic language, its emotional power, and its ability to shape the worldview of today's youth.
The online marathon is held in the following age categories:
Category I — 12–14 years old;
Category II — 15–17 years old;
Category III — 18 years old and older;
Category IV — "Teachers."
To participate, you must send an application (separately for each participant) and a competition video marked "Lina Kostenko" to [email protected] by March 12, 2026 (inclusive).
From March 16 to March 18, 2026, online voting for the "Audience Choice Award" will be open on the Palace website https://yunist.org.ua, in which anyone can participate. The winners in each age category will be determined by the highest number of votes.
The online marathon "The Poetic Wonderland of Lina Kostenko" is an opportunity to be heard there, it is a space where words matter.
