In May, meetings were held by the Coordination Centers for Civilian Support under the Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, and Volnovakha District State Administrations and 32 local military administrations.

Representatives from the Department of Social Protection, the Office of Veterans’ Affairs, and other departments of the Regional State Administration participated in the meetings.

At the meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support under the Kramatorsk District State Administration, participants discussed preparations for a health campaign and the organization of recreational activities for children in 2026. They also discussed the mechanisms and procedures for providing financial assistance from the UNHCR to IDPs who have been displaced in recent months.

During the meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Pokrovsk District State Administration, participants discussed the submission of claims to the International Register of Damages Caused by the Russian Federation’s Aggression Against Ukraine. Separately, participants were informed about the creation of a summer recreational group for children in the Donetsk region aged 4–6 (to begin operations on June 1, 2026, at the Pokrovsk Educational Center in the city of Dnipro).

At a meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support under the Volnovakha District State Administration, the Myrne Town Military Administration shared its experience in collaborating with partner communities in accordance with signed memorandums of cooperation. The meeting also addressed the status of health and recreation programs for children in the district’s territorial communities.

During the meetings of the Coordination Centers for Civilian Support in the territorial communities, a number of pressing issues were raised, including:

  • the implementation of support and integration programs for IDPs and community residents who have relocated to safer regions of Ukraine;
  • the status of providing material assistance to specific categories of citizens;

  • information campaigns to combat gender-based violence and domestic violence;
  • the progress of the children’s health and recreation campaign in 2026;

  • organization of employment for IDPs and the state of the labor market;
  • activities of child welfare services under martial law;
  • cooperation among communities within the framework of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities.”

Particular attention was paid to the evacuation of the population—specifically families with children, residents with limited mobility, and people with disabilities—to safe regions of Ukraine, as well as to ensuring appropriate conditions for their subsequent resettlement and social adaptation.

Based on the results of the meetings, priority areas of work were identified in the fields of social protection, humanitarian support, and psychosocial assistance to the population under martial law, and relevant instructions were issued based on the issues discussed.
