A meeting of Coordination Centers for Civilian Support was held in Donetsk region

In October, meetings were held by the Coordination Centers for Civilian Support at the Volnovakha, Bakhmut, Kramatorsk, and Pokrovsk district state administrations, 16 city, 10 settlement, and 8 rural military administrations.

The meetings were attended by representatives of the regional state administration's social protection department, the regional state administration's veterans policy department, and other structural units of the Donetsk Regional State Administration.

Participants in the meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Volnovakha District State Administration discussed issues of volunteer activity, in particular the organization and conduct of meetings for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, cooperation with charitable foundations, and the provision of humanitarian aid by the CHARITY FOUNDATION "CHRIST'S FAMILY." They also summed up the results of the 2025 health campaign for children in the Volnovakha district and considered problematic issues that arise in communities when providing assistance to the population.

During the meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Bakhmut District State Administration, they discussed issues related to promoting the employment of displaced persons: job selection, career guidance, involvement in vocational training, retraining, and professional development. Special attention was paid to the importance of psychosocial support for the population and the preservation of mental health.

Participants in the meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Pokrovsk District State Administration learned about the experience of the Ocheretynska settlement military administration, which operates in conditions of relocation, as well as the activities of the Smile UA Charitable Foundation, which implements its initiatives in 20 regions of Ukraine.

At the meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Kramatorsk District State Administration, the results of the 2025 health and recreation campaign for children carried out by the district's territorial communities were summarized, and events were planned to celebrate St. Nicholas Day, Christmas, and New Year's holidays with the children.

During the meetings of the Coordination Centers for Civilian Support in the territorial communities, a number of urgent issues were raised, in particular:

  • implementation of programs to support and integrate IDPs and community residents who have moved to safer regions of Ukraine;
  • social protection and support for defenders of Ukraine, their family members, and family members of deceased defenders of Ukraine;
  • analysis of citizens' appeals and IDP needs, provision of material and humanitarian assistance to the population;
  • organization of work within the framework of memoranda of cooperation between communities;
  • work with international and charitable organizations, foundations, and partners to provide comprehensive assistance to IDPs;
  • activities of humanitarian centers/hubs supporting IDPs, resilience centers;
  • psychosocial support and mental health preservation within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program "How Are You?";
  • provision of administrative and social services;
  • work of the Councils on Internally Displaced Persons and Coordination Centers for Civilian Support;
  • implementation of youth policy in communities, activities of Youth Councils;
  • prospects for the activities of the Women's Council, participation in the Donetsk Region Women's Congress;
  • the 2025-2026 heating season and the provision of solid fuel to community residents;
  • the creation of a barrier-free environment in communities;
  • issues of damaged and destroyed property in community territories;
  • the procedure for establishing the status of missing civilians in temporarily occupied territories;
  • changes in the conditions for the payment of pensions, insurance benefits, and state social services;
  • the organization of employment for internally displaced persons and the state of the labor market;
  • the activities of child welfare services under martial law;
  • summing up the results of the campaign for the health and recreation of children in 2025;
  • organization of the educational process in the 2025-2026 academic year;
  • cooperation of communities within the national project "Side by Side: United Communities";
  • holding events to honor the memory of fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine, affirm Ukrainian national and civic identity, as well as patriotic, cultural, artistic, and sporting events;
  • preparing events for Children's Day, Christmas, and New Year's holidays.

Special attention was paid to the evacuation of the population, in particular families with children, people with reduced mobility, and persons with disabilities, to safe regions of Ukraine, as well as to ensuring adequate conditions for their further resettlement and social adaptation.

Based on the results of the meetings, priority areas of work in the field of social protection, humanitarian support, and psychosocial assistance to the population in conditions of martial law were identified, and appropriate instructions were given based on the results of the issues discussed.
