In Donetsk region, a meeting of the Coordination Centers for Civilian Support was held.

This week, meetings of the Coordination Centers for the support of the civilian population were held at the Volnovakha and Pokrovsk district state administrations, as well as in the Mariinka, Mykolaiv, Soledar, Toretsk, Sviatohirsk, Vuhledar, Svitlodarsk, Kurakhiv, Siversk, Sloviansk, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, and Volnovakha city military administrations, the Ocheretyne village military administration, and the Staromlynivka, Zvanivka, and Andriivka rural military administrations, with representatives from the Department of Social Protection of the Population and other structural units of the regional state administration joining them.

During the meeting of the Coordination Center for the support of the civilian population at the Volnovakha RDA, issues regarding the preparation and implementation of a health improvement campaign in 2025 were discussed. As of May 20, 2025, 13 children from privileged categories received health improvement services. In addition, the attendees raised issues regarding the social protection of IDPs from the Vuhledar city community and the informational support for displaced persons. Attention was paid to the problematic issues arising in communities during the provision of assistance to the population.

At the meeting of the Coordination Center for the support of the civilian population at the Pokrovsk RDA, issues regarding the implementation of veteran policy for 2025 were discussed, with special attention given to grant opportunities for Defenders of Ukraine, their family members, and the families of deceased (fallen) Defenders of Ukraine.

In the territorial communities, during the meetings of the Coordination Centers for the support of the civilian population, the following urgent issues were raised:

  • the implementation of support and integration programs for IDPs and residents who have moved to safer regions of Ukraine, social protection and support for Defenders of Ukraine, their family members, and the families of deceased (fallen) Defenders of Ukraine;
  • analysis of citizens' appeals and the needs of displaced persons, provision of material and humanitarian assistance to the population;
  • work with international and charitable organizations, foundations, and partners to provide comprehensive assistance to displaced persons;
  • the activities of centers/hubs for IDP support, resilience centers;
  • psychosocial support and mental health support within the framework of the All-Ukrainian mental health program "How are you?";
  • provision of administrative and social services;
  • work of councils on internally displaced persons, Coordination Centers for the support of the civilian population;
  • development of youth policy in communities, activities of Youth Councils;
  • functioning and practical use aspects of the damage register and the register of damaged property;
  • organization of health improvement and recreation for children in 2025;
  • organization of medical services for the population, educational processes, and the work of child services under martial law;
  • conducting events to honor the memory of deceased (fallen) Defenders of Ukraine; regarding the affirmation of Ukrainian national identity; patriotic, cultural, artistic, and sports events.

Attention was also paid to the evacuation of the population, families with children, persons with reduced mobility, and persons with disabilities to safe regions of Ukraine and further resettlement.
