On June 25, representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy took part in a meeting with the families of servicemembers who went missing under special circumstances while on active duty. The meeting was organized by a representative of the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Main Investigative Directorate, the Specialized Center for the Search for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances at the Main Directorate of the National Police in Donetsk Oblast, the Donetsk Oblast Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, the State Scientific Research Expert-Criminalistics Center, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, and a representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
During the meeting, representatives of these institutions provided the families of missing servicemen with necessary explanations on issues within their purview and discussed pressing problems faced by the families during their search for their loved ones.
Artur Nasibyan, head of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, spoke about the social benefits provided to the families of servicemembers missing in action and prisoners of war.
