We invite fans of poetry aged 14 and older to participate in the regional recitation contest "In a Free, New Family," held annually on the birthday of the Great Kobzar.
The competition is one of the few cultural and artistic events that has been held since Ukraine gained independence, bringing together hundreds of admirers of Shevchenko's powerful words.
The competition is organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and the Donetsk Regional Educational and Methodological Center for Culture.
Performers will be evaluated in two categories (solo performance and literary-musical composition) and in two age groups:
I - 14 to 17 years old,
II - 18 years old and older.
Applications and videos of competition entries will be accepted until March 4, 2026, at the email address: [email protected] with the note "In a free, new family."
