Specialists from the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast took part in the webinar "Barrier-free communication: interacting with people with different types of disabilities."

During the event, participants gained practical knowledge about the specifics of communicating with people with hearing and visual impairments, familiarized themselves with modern digital tools that help establish interaction, and practiced basic algorithms for correct and effective communication with people with disabilities.

The speakers at the webinar were Ruslana Tsehelska (Inclusive Friendly NGO), Ilya Sarsadskikh, an expert on hearing accessibility (Ozis company), and Petro Polishchuk, a consultant on accessibility for people with visual impairments.

The rescuers will apply the knowledge they gained in their daily work. This will help improve the quality of assistance and develop a barrier-free environment in the activities of the Donetsk region's State Emergency Service units.
