On May 22, an online meeting was held, chaired by Oleksandr Shevchenko, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration, with the families of fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine and the families of deceased war veterans.
The event was attended by representatives of the Regional State Administration’s Department of Veterans’ Policy, district state administrations, the Lyman City Military Administration, the Public Union “UNITED FAMILIES OF UKRAINE,” the public organization “UNITED FAMILIES OF DONETSK REGION,” as well as the families of the fallen Heroes of Donetsk Region.
During the meeting, participants discussed a number of important issues that are of particular concern to the families of the fallen Defenders today. In particular, they discussed the reburial of the fallen (deceased) Defenders of Ukraine from temporarily occupied territories and areas of active combat operations, the dignified commemoration of the fallen soldiers of Donetsk Oblast, the implementation of support measures provided for by local programs for family members of the fallen, as well as the provision of information regarding sanatorium and resort treatment for the families of Defenders of Ukraine.
The meeting took place in the form of an open and constructive dialogue. Each participant had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed explanations regarding specific life situations. This format of communication made it possible to quickly identify the most pressing issues faced by the families of fallen servicemen.
Following the meeting, relevant instructions were issued to the responsible departments. The primary goal remains ensuring a timely response to requests and providing full and appropriate support to the families of fallen defenders of Donetsk Oblast.
