From April 13 to 17, the qualifying round of the 2026 All-Ukrainian sports competition for pre-conscription youth took place. The event is traditionally aimed at improving the physical preparedness of young men and their readiness for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, law enforcement, rescue, and other special units.
This year, representatives from nine local communities from Donetsk region joined the competition – a total of 16 teams from general secondary schools, and pupils from the Donetsk regional specialized professional college of sports profile.
Participants aged 14-17 competed in a military-applied heptathlon, conducted according to the rules of military-sports multi-events. The young men demonstrated endurance, strength, agility and coordinated action.
Based on the results of the qualifying round, the prize places were distributed as follows:
1st place – Donetsk regional specialized professional college of sports profile;
2nd place – First Kramatorsk lyceum of the Kramatorsk city council;
3rd place – Ocheretynskyi educational complex (base institution) of the Ocheretyne settlement council of the Pokrovsk district.
Ahead of them lies the final stage of the All-Ukrainian Spartakiad, which is scheduled to take place in May in the city of Zhytomyr. For the participants, this is not only a sporting challenge but also an important stage in character building, teamwork, and readiness to serve the state.
