In Donetsk region, the number of settlements where families with children have been forcibly evacuated has increased. Four villages of the Druzhkivka community have been added.
Currently, 100 children remain in 8 settlements, where families with children are being forcibly evacuated.
The evacuation in Donetsk region was discussed during a traditional briefing at the regional state administration with the participation of representatives of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense, the Children's Service and the Department of Social Protection.
According to Yulia Ryzhakova, Head of the Children's Service, there are 19,784 children in the region controlled by the Ukrainian government. There are still 113 children living in the area of active hostilities. Of these, 107 children live in the Lyman community, 5 children in the Toretsk community and 1 child in the Komar community.
In 8 settlements where evacuation of families with children was announced, 100 children live. There is 1 child in Novoselivka village of the Lyman community, 22 children in Bilytske and Vodianske of the Dobropole community, and 4 children in Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka of the Druzhkivka community. There are 4 new settlements in the Druzhkivka community where families with children have been forcibly evacuated.
Currently, 52 children live in Raiske village, 15 children in Novohryhorivka village, 5 children in Starorayske village and 1 child in Krasny Kut village.
Over the past week, 22 children were evacuated. Eight children were evacuated from three settlements of Dobropolye community, and 14 children were evacuated from Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka of Druzhkivka community.
The total number of civilians remaining in Donetsk region on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities is gradually decreasing. As of June 8, 268,000 people remain in Donetsk region. This was reported by Dmytro Petlin, head of the division of operational and duty service, communication, warning and informing the population of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense Work.
The area of active hostilities has expanded to include the territory of 18 communities, as the Shakhivska village community has been added. The total number of people living in the area of active hostilities is about 24 thousand. A total of 1,300 people were evacuated from the Donetsk region over the past week.
Since the evacuation was announced in August 2022, 11,150 residents of Donetsk Oblast have needed free accommodation, all of whom have been transported to safer regions and accommodated in shelters.

Over the past week, 11 people have been resettled free of charge in Volyn, Lviv and Dnipropetrovs'k regions. These are all people who needed free accommodation. Logistical issues are currently being resolved to evacuate and resettle more people in Volyn and Rivne regions free of charge. Two families with children from Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka communities will soon go to Zakarpattia.
Most of the people who seek help at the transit hub in Pavlohrad have a place to go. These families are helped with free transportation to the evacuation site, solving not only train but also bus tickets.
Another 12 people are temporarily staying at the transit hub in Pavlohrad, waiting for their documents to be restored. These documents were lost due to the destruction of their homes as a result of shelling.
