"Our Donetsk region. Our home. Our fortress": the youth of Oleksandrivka talked to the military

In Donetsk region, the implementation of the project "Our Donetsk. Our Home. Our Fortress" continues, initiated by the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the head of the regional military administration, Vadim Filashkin.

The goal of the project, which is being implemented in partnership between the Department of Education and Science of the Regional State Administration, educational institutions, and combat units, is to strengthen national-patriotic education and military career guidance for youth. The formation of an open and accessible information system is underway, thanks to which every young man and woman considering the possibility of military service will be able to clearly understand their prospects, conditions, and opportunities for development.

As part of this initiative, meetings were held in the village of Oleksandrivka with graduates of the Oleksandrivsk Professional Agrarian Lyceum.

Lieutenant Colonel Stepan Dubas, head of the communications department of the Joint Task Force "Luhansk," spoke about the advantages of military service and the prospects for personal growth in the army.

Major Serhiy Marchuk, head of the recruitment department of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss," shared his own combat experience and talked about how armed struggle is conducted today, in which his brigade stands at the forefront.

Representatives of the battalion of unmanned aerial systems of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade demonstrated an FPV drone (without combat equipment), explaining its structure and purpose.

Tactical medicine instructor Lyudmyla Tsyhanova from the 56th Separate Motorized Brigade conducted a practical training session for the youth. Everyone interested had the opportunity to learn how to use tourniquets and discover the basic rules of providing first aid.

Junior Sergeant Natalia Soboleva, a manager-sergeant of the 3rd category of the recruitment department of the 56th Separate Motorized Brigade, spoke about the advantages of serving in the brigade, career growth opportunities, and the conditions for joining the military.

The final stage of the meeting was a demonstration of modern reconnaissance and strike drones. One of them was launched into the air right inside the building – the children had the opportunity to take photos next to the equipment that is actively used on the front lines today.
