Due to the escalation of hostilities in Donetsk region, residents of the Druzhkovka Children's Orphanage were forced to leave their home. In order to save their lives and health, an evacuation was organized, and 84 children found refuge in the Kingdom of Spain.

Despite the distance and borders, the children started the new school year far from their homeland. Thanks to distance learning, they were able to continue their education at Slavic Special School No. 41 of the Donetsk Regional Council.

The first day of school was warm and homely. Teachers sincerely congratulated the students and held an educational hour, giving them a sense of care and support, which is especially important in times of war.

For these children, moving to another country is not only about adapting to a new culture and language, but also about continuing their education in a completely unusual environment. The opportunity to study remotely is not only a testament to the development of modern technologies, but also the result of hard work and the desire to provide every child with equal opportunities, despite all the difficulties.

We are sincerely proud of our students and wish them inspiration, new achievements and success in their studies. We are looking forward to seeing them back home as soon as possible.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Spain, which has sheltered our children, as well as to its citizens and volunteer organizations that are helping them to adapt. Special thanks go to the principal and teachers of Slavic Special School No. 41, who make every effort to ensure that our students can learn, develop and feel protected even outside Ukraine.

We are bringing the Victory closer! Everything will be Ukraine!
