Life often tests our strength but also opens new doors. A vivid example of this is the story of Iryna Bondarenko.
For many years, she worked as a manager in a travel company. Her job was all about dreams — planning trips, introducing people to new countries, and creating unforgettable memories. However, the COVID-19 pandemic, followed by the full-scale war, effectively brought the tourism industry to a halt. Iryna found herself without stable employment.
She turned to the Employment Center, where she learned about the opportunity to receive a training voucher — a state-funded program that allows individuals to acquire a new profession or upgrade their qualifications.
Iryna applied for the program and chose psychology as her new field. After completing her studies, gaining practical experience, and acquiring new knowledge, Iryna is now a certified psychologist. She has opened her own practice in Kharkiv, where she successfully works with people coping with anxiety, loss, and the challenges of adapting to new life circumstances.
Her story proves that changing careers is not an end — it’s the beginning of a new journey. And the Employment Service is always there to support people through these changes.
