From May 19 to May 23, 2025, the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian children's and youth military-patriotic game "Sokil" ("Dzhura") for the senior age category was held in a remote format.
The event was organized by the Donetsk Regional Center for Tourism and Local History of Student Youth.
23 teams (a total of 184 participants) from Bakhmut, Bilozersk, Velykonovosilkivsk, Vuhledar, Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Zvanivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kryvyi Rih, Kurakhove, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Nikolske, Novodonetske, Ocheretyne, Sviatohirsk, Selydivka, Soledar, Udachne, Chasiv Yar, and Cherkasy communities of Donetsk region participated in the competition.
The game was conducted using online tools: Telegram, YouTube, Google Docs, Google Classroom, as well as the educational platform "Vseosvita". All teams were registered in virtual classrooms, where competitive tests were conducted in the format of online testing. The competitive program of the II stage included the following contests:
- "Vidun" – an intellectual quiz on the history of Ukraine;
- "Vporiad" – drill training and performance of a marching song;
- "Riatovnyk" – algorithm of actions of the team under shelling, providing first aid, solving situational tasks, tactical medicine;
- "Taboruvannia" – organization of a camp, duty, osavul service, tying tourist knots;
- "Orijentuvannia" – viewing a video route and determining control points.
Based on the results of a week of active competitions, the winners of the II stage of the game among the senior age category were determined:
1st place – team "HaidaMaky" (Velykonovosilkivsk General Secondary Education Institution I-III degrees No. 2 of the Velykonovosilkivska Village Council), mentor – Viktor Pankov.
2nd place – team "Young Cossacks" (Selydivsk Lyceum No. 1 of the Selydivska City Council of Pokrovsk District), mentor – Mykola Lukianenko.
3nd place – team "Bakhmut Shooters" (Bakhmut Educational Complex "General Secondary School I-III degrees No. 11 – Multidisciplinary Lyceum" of the Bakhmut City Council), mentor – Iryna Varkintin.
The winners – team "HaidaMaky" – will represent Donetsk region at the all-Ukrainian stage of the game "Dzhura", which will take place in July 2025 in Kirovohrad region.
