Based on the educational location of the Bakhmut community VCENTRI HUB in Kyiv, a presentation of the book by the history and law teacher of the Bakhmut educational complex "General Secondary School I - III degrees No. 11 - multidisciplinary lyceum" of the Bakhmut City Council of Donetsk region Volodymyr Sutkovyi "And there was a theater... The history of the Ukrainian theater in Bakhmut."

The author worked for many years with archival materials, researching the activities of amateur theatrical troupes and dramatic collectives that operated in Bakhmut at the beginning of the 20th century. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the researcher evacuated all collected materials to preserve them and complete the work on the publication. Students actively assisted in the publication.

The book by Bakhmut educator Volodymyr Sutkovyi is a narrative about a place where culture has endured despite everything, about the power of art to unite. As one of the guests at the event said: "The Bakhmut theater is a microcosm of Ukraine: there were destructions here, but there was never defeat."

During the war, when the enemy tries to destroy everything, it is important to preserve our history for shaping the future.

Everything will be Ukraine!
