On May 27, a working meeting took place between the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Vadym Filashkin and the head of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Ukraine Andrea de Dominico.
The parties discussed the current humanitarian and security situation in the region, which remains extremely complex due to ongoing hostilities. Emphasis was placed on the large number of damaged residential buildings, critical infrastructure facilities, and disruptions in electricity, water, and gas supply in frontline communities.
Special attention during the meeting was given to the needs of territorial communities for specialized equipment to eliminate the consequences of shelling in affected areas.
Vadym Filashkin thanked the representatives of the UN OCHA for their constant support and emphasized the importance of further coordinating efforts in providing humanitarian assistance.
The meeting was also attended by the director of the department of investment and innovation development and external relations Oksana Holovko, the head of the strategic communications department Hanna Fesenko, the head of the UN OCHA Regional Office in Dnipro Alhadi Albaridi, and humanitarian specialist Anastasia Alyokhina.
