Tatiana Moruzhenko - participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Master of her craft"
Tatiana Moruzhenko is a senior dispatcher at the Slavic Operational Control Center of DTEK Donetsk Power Grids. She has been working in the energy sector for 27 years and has become an example of resilience and dedication.
The control room is the heart of the energy company. It is here that the work of the teams that eliminate power outages after shelling and restore electricity to the region's residents is coordinated on a daily basis. The work of Tatiana and her colleagues is a constant struggle against the consequences of the war, which requires quick and coordinated decisions.
"We have a strong team. What was damaged at night is already in operation in the morning. We have reserves, but the main thing is the realization that people need us. And this keeps us going," says Tetiana.
The unit she heads employs 27 power engineers. Most of them have been with the company for decades. Despite the danger, they stay in their jobs because they understand that they bring people not only light but also hope.
Tetiana is proud of her team: "None of us can imagine anything else. We support each other, we joke, we say 'thank you'. There is no panic. We have faith that our towns and villages will survive. And we are with them."
Tatyana Moruzhenko is a person who not only coordinates the work of power engineers, but also charges her colleagues with faith and calmness. It is thanks to people like her that the electricity in Donetsk Oblast remains on.
