Yevheniia Avdiushkina, participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "The Power of Good and Unity"
There are people whose work becomes an example of daily service to others. Yevheniia Avdiushkina, head of the Kramatorsk City Organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, is one of them. Her name is well known in the community for her many years of dedication to good deeds and her ability to unite like-minded people.
Yevheniia Avdiushkina was born and raised in Donetsk Oblast. In 1997-2014, she worked at a machine-building plant. Yevheniia began her volunteer work in 2014, helping IDPs and those in difficult life circumstances. Over time, this activity grew into a real mission - to support people in the most difficult moments, to give them hope and a sense of security.
Since becoming the head of the city's Red Cross organization in 2018, she has created a powerful network of assistance: from humanitarian support for families with children and the elderly to training the public in first aid.
Since the outbreak of full-scale war, her team has implemented dozens of initiatives: targeted delivery of food packages to people with limited mobility, projects for youth and children, support for the donor movement, and animal assistance. "In the most difficult times, the main thing is to stay close. Even a little help can become a ray of light for a person," Yevheniia believes.
Особливе місце у її діяльності займає розвиток волонтерського руху. Під її наставництвом виросло покоління молодих волонтерів, які щотижня проводять творчі заняття для дітей та зустрічі емоційної стійкості для переселенців. Лише у 2025 році підтримку організації отримали понад 15 тисяч людей.
