Published 02 October 2025 year, 13:01

Viktoriia Ivanova is a participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Creator of Changes and Opportunities"

Viktoriia Ivanova is a teacher, environmental expert, and human rights activist. Originally from Donetsk region, she has come a long way: after 2014, she moved to Mariupol, and after the city was blockaded, she moved to Horokhiv in Volyn, where she started a new life with her daughter.

In her new community, Victoria gradually returned to active professional work. She shares her knowledge in the environmental field, conducts trainings and webinars, and participates in projects that help communities better manage waste, adapt to climate change, and improve energy efficiency.

Viktoriia also works as a paralegal at the Right to Protection Charitable Foundation, where she helps IDPs receive primary legal support. Since 2023, she has been a member of the IDP Council at the Volyn Regional Military Administration. She has taken courses in digital literacy and educational development, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.

Viktoriia pays special attention to the de-Russification of the educational space, helping students realize their national identity. She is also involved in community life: she helps at a volunteer center, creates compositions that are sold on the local market, and the proceeds go to the needs of the Armed Forces. Viktoriia visits wounded soldiers, supporting them with a kind word, homemade goodies and simple human warmth.

"Even after the darkest night, we can build a new day - if we do it together," says Victoria. Her experience in Horokhiv is a model she dreams of applying to rebuild her native Donetsk region. Her story is about strength, humanity and faith in Ukraine.
