The exhibition “Faces of Resistance” by the Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History continues its tour of Ukrainian cities. On October 1, it opened at the Khmelnytsky Regional Art Museum. This project is about those who defend the country every day, about the strength of their views and determination, born out of love for their native land.
The exhibition includes personal stories of military personnel, their memories and quotes, as well as flags and insignia, which give the exhibition a special power and authenticity. The atmosphere is complemented by the sincerity and directness of the testimonies, which reveal to visitors the inner world of the people who have become the faces of resistance.
Oksana Muravska, acting director general of the Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History, emphasized that the exhibition is intended not only to preserve memory, thank the military, and honor their courage, but also to become a space for reflecting on contemporary history, dialogue with society, and fostering responsibility for the future.
Olga Dolinska, Director of the Khmelnytsky Regional Art Museum, noted that this exhibition is of particular importance for young people, as it helps them realize the value of freedom and the power of national identity.
The Department of Information, Culture, Nationalities, and Religions of the Khmelnytsky Regional State Administration expressed its gratitude to the staff of the Donetsk Regional Local History Museum for their significant contribution to the development of museum affairs, their steadfastness in preserving Ukraine's cultural heritage, and their close inter-museum cooperation.
After the grand opening, Kateryna Zelenska, head of the contemporary history department of the Donetsk Regional Local History Museum, gave a tour, talking about the process of creating the project and sharing the stories of the soldiers who inspired it.
The exhibition “Faces of Resistance” in Khmelnytskyi will run until November 2.
