Published 16 October 2025 year, 12:45

Liliia Meleshko - participant of the regional contest "Woman of Donetsk Region" in 2025, nomination "Creator of Changes and Opportunities"

Lilia Meleshko represents the Slavic community of Donetsk Oblast. She is a candidate of historical sciences, "Excellence in Education of Ukraine", a deputy of the Kramatorsk District Council, a stakeholder, a member of the All-Ukrainian Association "Revived Gymnasiums of Ukraine", and the director of the Bilbasivka hub school, the first hub school of general secondary education opened in Donetsk Oblast.

Thanks to her talent as a leader and mentor, a comfortable, safe educational space and a center for interaction between the teaching staff, children, parents, and community members was created.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the institution has been operating online. Through the efforts of Lilia Meleshko, a comfortable online educational space was created where students interact with teachers with interest and a strong desire for knowledge.

Despite the difficult conditions that prevailed during the war in the educational sector of Donetsk region, the director has preserved the "school family": the school has a stable team, and the number of students has remained constant since 2022. Parents choose the Bilbasivka hub school to educate their children.

Ms. Lilia is convinced that the mission of the hub school is to strengthen our country, the prestige of education and life in it. And for the village, it means new quality conditions and opportunities. "The revival of the village begins with the revival of the school," she says. Therefore, her and the team's activities under her leadership are aimed at improving the image of Donetsk Oblast at all levels.
