To discuss the outcomes of cooperation and explore further areas of collaboration, Acting Director of the Donetsk Regional Employment Center Nataliia Adamova visited the “Valensia” Confectionery Factory in Sloviansk.

The company has been operating in Sloviansk since 2008 and is well known for its cakes, pastries, rolls, muffins, and desserts that have long been loved by the local community. Despite the difficult wartime circumstances, the factory has not only preserved its production but continues to grow and develop.

“Our mission is to support businesses that create jobs even in challenging conditions. Enterprises like Valensia are helping to hold the economic front,” said Nataliia Adamova.

In October 2025, the factory became a winner of the “Own Business” grant program. The received funds will be used to purchase a semi-automatic tray sealer, which will help expand production and create two new jobs.

The partnership between the enterprise and the Employment Service has lasted for many years. During this time, the factory has repeatedly used state support programs and organized on-the-job training for workers.

In July 2025, the factory employed Viacheslav, a Group II person with a disability, providing him with a comfortable and safe workplace as a head of the sales department. To ensure proper working conditions, the company purchased modern office and computer equipment — expenses that were later reimbursed by the state.

“We are grateful to the Employment Service for their consulting support and guidance. Such programs allow us not only to develop production but also to support people who need work and confidence in themselves,” noted a representative of the company.

The Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to assist local businesses in finding ways to grow by using state programs, grants, and compensation mechanisms.

Because supporting employers means creating new jobs, strengthening communities, and building real success stories — even in the most difficult times.
