In Dnipro, as part of the third wave of the national project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities," a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ocheretyne settlement and Starobohorodchany village communities.
Mykola Kovalenko, head of the Ocheretyne settlement military administration, told the guests from Ivano-Frankivsk region about the creation and life of the community before and after the full-scale invasion. Most of the community's settlements are now occupied, but the community continues to live in the territory controlled by Ukraine, supports its residents and prepares to return to their native land after the war ends. The community leaders discussed areas of future cooperation.
Volodymyr Petryshyn, head of the Starobohorodchany village community, was presented with an Independence cake from the Ocheretyne community as a symbol of unity and family hospitality.
The event was also attended by Vitaliy Barabash, head of the Avdiivka City Military Administration. We have implemented many joint projects with the Avdiivka community to improve the lives of residents of both communities. So it was very nice to share a piece of warmth and a holiday cake with our good neighbors.
On the eve of the Flag Day of Ukraine, representatives of the three communities together unfurled the Flag of Ukraine and the Flag of Donetsk Oblast as a symbol of unity, cohesion, and support.
This is the second partnership of the Ocheretynska community within the framework of the national project "Side by Side: Cohesive Communities", which unites communities across the country - from the west to the east. The "Side by Side: United Communities" project opens up new opportunities for the Ocheretyne community to implement various initiatives, the main of which is to support the community residents.
We sincerely thank the Starobohorodchany village council for the warm meeting and look forward to fruitful cooperation! Together we are strong!
