As part of the fourth wave of the national project "Side by Side: United Communities," the Ocheretine community in Donetsk Oblast signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kotelevsk community in Poltava Oblast.
During a visit to the village of Kotelva, representatives of the Ocheretynska settlement military administration, led by its head Mykola Kovalenko, familiarized themselves with the development of the community in wartime conditions, the organization of work to support displaced persons, veterans, and their families, the functioning of educational and medical institutions, and work with young people.
The highlight of the meeting was an introduction to the intangible cultural heritage of Kotelva: on the eve of Christmas, according to an ancient custom, ritual "Panyanky" are baked here, filling every home with warmth, light, and anticipation of the holiday.
Together with partners, they discussed areas for future cooperation and joint initiatives. The "Side by Side: United Communities" project is about unity, solidarity, and readiness to support each other, exchange experiences, and create new opportunities for communities.
