A call for applications has been announced for the 2027 annual creative scholarships for talented children attending art schools and cultural institutions in the Donetsk region
The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, in accordance with the order of the Head of the Regional State Administration, the Head of the Regional Military-Civil Administration dated 22 January 2021 No. 47/5-21 ‘On the Approval of the Regulations on Annual Creative Scholarships for Talented Pupils Attending Art Schools and Cultural Institutions in the Donetsk Region’, hereby announces the start of the selection process for candidates for the award of creative scholarships in 2027.
Applications will be accepted from 23 September to 23 October 2026.
Requirements for candidates
Candidates for creative scholarships are nominated by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration upon the recommendation of district state administrations, military administrations, executive bodies of local councils, art schools and cultural institutions in the Donetsk region.
Applicants for the scholarship must submit the following scanned documents in PDF format by email to: [email protected]:
an application for the scholarship using the form provided in the annex to this announcement;
a detailed character reference for the applicant for the creative scholarship;
a copy of an identity document;
a copy of the taxpayer registration number (if available). Applicants for a creative scholarship who, due to their religious beliefs, refuse to accept a taxpayer registration number and have notified the relevant supervisory authority of this, must submit a copy of their passport bearing a note confirming their right to make any payments using their passport series and number (if available);
copies of academic transcripts (if available);
copies of diplomas for creative achievements or other awards (together with the Regulations governing the competition, festival, etc.);
a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data;
bank account details for a current account held in the student’s name at a banking institution.
Deadline for submission of documents
Documents for participation in the selection process will be accepted from 23 September to 23 October 2026.
Documents submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Amount of scholarships
Creative scholarships are paid by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Regional State Administration within the limits of the expenditure allocated in the general fund of the regional budget for these purposes in the relevant year under the ‘Culture and Arts’ sector.
The amounts of the awarded creative scholarships are transferred by the 25th of each month throughout the calendar year directly to the scholarship recipients’ current accounts held with banking institutions, in the amounts specified in paragraph 4 of Section I of the Regulations on Annual Creative Scholarships for Talented Children Attending Art Schools and Cultural Institutions in the Donetsk Region (for winners (prize-winners) of all-Ukrainian creative competitions – in the amount of one monthly subsistence minimum per person, as established by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine as at 1 January of the relevant year; winners (prize-winners) of international creative competitions – in the amount of 1.5 times the monthly subsistence minimum per person, as established by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine as at 1 January of the relevant year).
