Vadym Filashkin, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, met with Marshall Meyer, co-founder and Executive Director of Ukraine Aid International (UAI), and Scott Hancock, founder and Managing Director of the investment firm Deep Sky Capital.
The meeting focused on multi-faceted humanitarian support for Donetsk Oblast residents remaining in the region and those who have evacuated to safer areas across Ukraine.
IDP Housing Solutions: Collaborative efforts to address housing shortages for displaced residents through the construction of modular towns in safer regions of Ukraine.
Critical Infrastructure Resilience: Counteracting damages from Russian shelling by deploying alternative energy sources, backup power generators, and specialized water purification systems.
Expanded Partnerships: Developing new joint initiatives, providing direct support to local hromadas, and expanding sister-city/regional partnerships with American municipalities.
UAI Support Track Record:
Duration & Scope: Ukraine Aid International has actively assisted Donetsk Oblast since 2022.
Impact: Provided approximately $2.5 million in aid to over 500,000 residents.
Supplies Delivered: Water filtration systems, power generators, heavy equipment, and medical machinery.
