Deputy Head of the Donetsk Regional Administration Oleksandr Shevchenko met with a delegation from the sub-office of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Dnipro, led by Federico Sersale.
They discussed plans for cooperation in 2026 - overcoming current humanitarian challenges, responding quickly to the consequences of enemy shelling, and supporting people affected by the war.
"The UNHCR is our long-standing and reliable partner. Thanks to our joint efforts, dozens of projects have been implemented and thousands of families in Donetsk region have received assistance," said the deputy head of the region.
Oleksandr Shevchenko thanked Mr. Federico on behalf of the entire Donetsk region for his consistent and effective support of our people and our communities.
He emphasized that this support remains an important pillar for the region today.
