In picturesque Yaremche, a special recovery program is underway for the families of combatants. As part of the national project “Side by Side: United Communities,” two families from the Oleksandrivka community are undergoing mental and physical rejuvenation here: Maksym and Daria Kravchenko with their young son Timur, and Hanna Pavlyshena with her daughter Yulia.
The Yaremche community served as the official partner and took full responsibility for organizing the participants’ arrival and stay. All costs for rehabilitation and recreation are covered by German sponsors who are supporting Ukrainian families during this difficult time.
The recovery program includes: reimbursement of round-trip travel expenses, comfortable accommodations and full board, organized leisure activities, excursions, and outdoor recreation, as well as professional mental and physical rehabilitation for adults and children.
The mountain air, tranquility, and change of scenery create the ideal conditions for replenishing inner strength after the hardships they have endured. The youngest participants in the trip are experiencing the greatest joy and comfort during these days.
“Little Timur is happiest in his dad’s arms—he won’t let go for even a moment,” Daria Kravchenko shares.
Initiatives like this demonstrate the importance of unity, support, and care for those who defend the country and their families. The Carpathian landscapes and the sincere attention of the organizers help project participants find new strength, inner balance, and rediscover the joy of peaceful family moments.
