Representatives of the education authorities of the Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka communities took part in the strategic simulation hackathon “Network Map: Transformation of Upper-Secondary Specialized Schools.”

This event was aimed at developing effective tools for reforming the general secondary education system and modeling a future network of upper-secondary schools. This strategic event took place as part of the Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE project, “Decentralization for the Development of Democratic Education.”

Organizational and methodological support for the hackathon was provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in collaboration with the All-Ukrainian Association of Amalgamated Territorial Communities.

The practical program of the event consisted of several specialized rounds, during which participants conducted a comprehensive assessment of the available resources of territorial communities and developed algorithms for designing a network of academic lyceums, calculating logistics routes for student transportation, and ensuring financial support for the updated structure.

Educators from the Donetsk region presented their own vision and regional experience in organizing the educational landscape. During the panel discussions, participants agreed on practical steps for establishing a network of lyceums that will operate in accordance with the regulatory standards and requirements of the New Ukrainian School.

The joint efforts of the communities made it possible to coordinate further actions aimed at creating accessible and high-quality specialized education for students in the Donetsk region.
