The Donetsk Regional Ecological and Naturalistic Center organized and conducted the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian ecological and patriotic game for children and youth "Parostok" in a mixed format.
The remote format of the game took place from October 27 to November 1, 2025. Fifty-three teams (159 participants) from 20 territorial communities of the region joined the event. The game consisted of three main components:
- patriotic – children and young people completed tasks on the topics "Ukraine in my heart," "Ethnoregional and national symbols, coats of arms, and flags of my native land," and "Make a hero out of those who save people and the Motherland!";
- environmental – younger and middle age groups participated in a Kahoot quiz: "Responsible waste sorting," "Protected Ukraine"; older groups calculated their "ecological footprint";
- life skills development – all teams completed the task "First aid: lifesaving circle."
The tests included theoretical tasks, intellectual competitions, and creative research projects. All of the projects presented were impressive in their content, emotionality, and uniqueness, fully revealing the spirit of the game.
The jury members were particularly impressed by the research projects in which the participants told about local heroes who made a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine. You can view the projects using the hashtags #ДОЕНЦ_Паросток2025.
The in-person part of the game took place from November 6 to 9, 2025, at the Emerald City Social Rehabilitation Sanatorium and Health Center in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.
Eighty-six campers from 15 communities in the region performed a series of interesting tasks every day: they made scented candles from beeswax together with military serviceman, Junior Sergeant Serhii Martseniuk; they painted the "Eco-hut" stone for International Passive House Day.
They conducted experiments to identify vitamins in vegetables and fruits and took a journey into the micro world during a lesson with a microscope. They studied the art of photography. During the eco-photo hunt, the children learned to observe nature closely, found interesting details, photographed the beauty of the environment, and noticed how important it is to protect the world around them. This part of the event evoked the most emotions, laughter, and discoveries among the campers.
After eco-games, themed classes, and workshops, the children, employees of the Emerald City Social and Recreational Center, and the teaching staff of the DOENC transformed into individual film studios and tried their hand at making movies. They acted as directors, screenwriters, actors, makeup artists, production designers, and editors. They presented their own short videos. The atmosphere of the evening was truly cinematic—dim lighting, shared emotions, applause after each premiere, and words of support for the authors.
The game was meaningful and useful. The team members showed themselves to be true patriots of Ukraine who respect the traditions of the Ukrainian people. The winners' works will be presented at the All-Ukrainian stage of the ecological and patriotic game "Parostok," which will take place at the end of November this year.
