Jobs for Everyone, Support for Business: Results of the Donetsk Employment Service’s Work for the First 10 Months of 2025

Published 11 November 2025 year, 11:44

The Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to be a reliable partner for both job seekers and employers. Every day, its specialists help people find their place in professional life, while supporting businesses in recovery, growth, and contributing to the region’s economy.

Between January and October 2025, nearly 20,000 citizens used the services of the Donetsk Regional Employment Service, while employers in the region submitted information about 9.6 thousand job vacancies.

Thanks to effective cooperation with employers and the implementation of state employment programs, 8.6 thousand citizens found jobs. Each client receives an individual consultation, and job matching is carried out taking into account a person’s experience, skills, and preferences.

The Employment Service actively supports professional training and upskilling.

Since the beginning of the year, 1,189 training vouchers have been issued, allowing people to gain new knowledge in 156 professions and specialties — from IT to construction-related fields.

More than 2,500 unemployed people have completed vocational training through the service, and 2,100 of them have already been successfully employed. The most in-demand professions — even amid wartime challenges — include administrator, social worker, trolleybus driver, electric gas welder, electrical fitter for repair and maintenance, and emergency medical technician.

Another key area is the engagement of citizens in cоmmunity-beneficial work, which is especially important under martial law. In 2025, the service issued 9.3 thousand referrals for participation in such work — an initiative that not only supports employment but also strengthens local communities.

The Employment Service of Donetsk region also provides financial assistance to employers who create jobs or employ people from vulnerable categories.

In particular:

731 internally displaced persons were employed with wage reimbursement support;

30 workplaces were equipped for people with disabilities;

45 people were employed in newly created jobs with reimbursement of the employer’s single social contribution.

The Donetsk Regional Employment Service continues to work for people and together with people — supporting those who have lost their jobs, helping them find new opportunities, develop their skills, and build a career even in these challenging times.
