Presidential Decree No. 681/2025 honored athletes and coaches who won medals at the XII World Games held in Chengdu, China, in August this year. Among them are 9 representatives of Donetsk region: they helped the national team win 7 out of 44 awards - three gold, two silver and two bronze, which allowed Ukraine to take 3rd place in the team.
The Order of Merit of the first class was awarded to Volodymyr Ryev, silver medalist of the World Powerlifting Games in the heavy category.
The Order of Merit III class were awarded to:
- Konstantin Musienko is a World Games champion in powerlifting in the heavyweight category;
- Vladyslav Rudnev - twice champion of the World Sambo Games: in individual competitions in the 79 kg weight category and in the team tournament in the combat section of sambo;
- Serhiy Rudnev - coach of the champion Vladyslav Rudnev;
- Serhii Fedorenko, senior coach of the Ukrainian national powerlifting team, mentor of silver medalist Daria Rusanenko and bronze medalist Anastasiia Derevianko.
She was awarded the Order of Princess Olga of the III degree:
- Alyona Bychkova - powerlifting coach, mentor of silver medalist Volodymyr Ryev and bronze medalist Oleksiy Bychkov;
- Darya Rusanenko, silver medalist of the World Powerlifting Games in the super-heavy category.
The medal "For Labor and Victory" is awarded to:
- Alexey Bychkov - bronze medalist of the World Powerlifting Games in the super heavyweight category;
- Anastasia Derevyanko - bronze medalist of the World Powerlifting Games in the lightweight category.
Donetsk athletes and coaches have proved that many years of hard work, perseverance and love for their craft, strength of spirit and thirst for new victories can glorify Ukraine in different parts of the world. These successes are the pride of Donetsk region and an inspiring example for young people who want to play sports and reach the top!
