The White Angel unit continues to rescue civilians from Druzhkivka

Published 26 February 2026 year, 14:15

Despite the danger, law enforcement officers travel daily to the frontline town of Druzhkivka to check the addresses where the children lived and evacuate those who have finally decided to leave.

This time, the police carried out the rescue operation together with the Chaplain Patrol volunteer group using chaplains' vehicles. An elderly couple and their four-legged pet were taken out of the city.

Chaplain Leonid received information about the need to evacuate a family with a child who lived in a private sector. However, the family was not found at the specified address. Instead, they managed to convince the neighbors, an elderly couple, to leave. The woman and her husband hesitated for a long time to leave their home, but due to constant shelling, they changed their minds. They took their dog with them.

The evacuees were taken to a safe location. They will then travel to a more peaceful region of Ukraine.

Today, Druzhkivka is a city of destroyed buildings, cars burned by drone attacks, the sound of gunfire, and the constant threat of drones in the sky. Despite the massive strikes by Russian troops and the lack of communications, peaceful residents still remain in the frontline city. The police are urging citizens not to delay and to leave for safer regions. Timely evacuation will help save lives and health.
