On April 18, 2026, competitive performances by young choreographers and dance groups brought to a close the regional competition for students of art schools, “Bakhmut Spring,” organized by the Ivan Karabits Bakhmut Professional College of Culture and Arts and the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, which was held in a hybrid format in 2026.
Seventeen dance groups and soloists (a total of 183 participants) representing the Donetsk, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions showcased their skills. Representatives from the cities of Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk demonstrated a high level of training.
The performance program showcased mastery of dance technique, performance culture, and the originality of choreographic solutions. The contestants’ creative achievements are a direct confirmation of the continuity of the traditions of the Ukrainian choreographic school and their successful integration into the contemporary artistic landscape.
The expert evaluation was conducted by a jury composed of leading industry specialists, ensuring a professional approach to the analysis of each choreographic performance.
