The Donetsk Regional Museum of Local History held a cultural and educational event in Khmelnytskyi titled “A Journey into the Musical World of Sergei Prokofiev,” timed to coincide with the talented composer’s birthday. The event, which took place at the “YaMariupol” Support Center for Displaced Persons, was attended by children from Donetsk Oblast.
In the format of an interactive musical quest, participants embarked on a fascinating journey through the artist’s life and work. The children completed creative and game-based tasks, solved riddles, and took part in active and team challenges that gradually revealed interesting facts about the composer’s personality and the facets of his work. Through play and interaction, the quest participants felt that Sergei Prokofiev’s music has its own energy, rhythm, and even a unique “edge,” just like the Donetsk region itself, which gave the world a composer whose works are performed in the world’s most prestigious concert halls.
By drawing attention to the beautiful world of music created by this world-renowned composer, the event will help shape children’s perception of classical music as part of Ukraine’s and the world’s cultural heritage.
