Support for Businesses and IDPs that Delivers Results

Published 26 August 2025 year, 21:18

In search of a safer life, internally displaced persons (IDPs) face the need to solve social issues while also finding new employment. For many, getting a job becomes the key to stability and adaptation in a new place.

The Employment Service supports both IDPs and businesses. One of the effective tools is the compensation program for employers who hire IDPs, introduced under CMU Resolution No. 331. The principle is simple: the employer provides a job for an IDP, and the Employment Service reimburses part of the wage costs.

Examples of such cooperation between businesses and the Employment Service include:

🔹 Private Entrepreneur Serhii Zavarzin turned to the Kostiantynivka- Druzhkivka office in search of staff. Among the candidates was IDP Hanna Pimonova, who, after an interview and internship, was hired as an administrator. The employer used the compensation program and noted that it is an effective mechanism that eases part of the financial burden.

🔹 Private Entrepreneur Alla Zavarzina from Druzhkivka, following the advice of specialists, invited IDP Aliona Pashkova for an interview. After an internship, she became a new employee at the store, while the entrepreneur received compensation for her employment.

🔹 At the medical facility KNP "Multidisciplinary Hospital of Intensive Care", there was a vacant nurse position. IDP Tetiana Ladna, a woman with a disability, not only expressed interest in this opportunity but also completed an additional mental health training organized by the Employment Service. This boosted her confidence, and she successfully passed the interview and started work. The facility also received compensation.

Compensation payments reduce labor costs, make filling vacancies easier, and motivate employers to hire IDPs. This cooperation benefits both sides: entrepreneurs grow their businesses, while people get decent jobs, adapt faster in a new environment, and feel supported by the state.
