Thousands of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes because of the war — seeking safety, new jobs, and a fresh start. For many, this is more than relocation — it’s a test of resilience, faith in oneself, and the ability to rebuild. In such moments, support — human, professional, and sincere — becomes especially vital.
Specialists from the Donetsk Regional Employment Service continuously provide assistance to visitors of humanitarian hubs in various cities across Ukraine. During these meetings, internally displaced persons receive consultations on job searching, resume writing, selecting relevant vacancies, and opportunities for professional training or retraining. Particular attention is given to state grant programs that help people start their own businesses. Above all, this work focuses on promoting employment. In fact, over 1,000 citizens who initially sought humanitarian aid have already benefited from the Employment Service’s assistance and found jobs.
Every consultation and every success story proves that — even under challenging circumstances — it’s possible to find support, regain confidence, and begin a new chapter in life. In total, nearly 12,000 people have received Employment Service assistance directly at humanitarian hub locations since the beginning of this year.
