Ukrainian Unity Day is living proof that the borders within people's hearts cannot be erased. Especially for this day, students and teachers from the Bakhmut Center for Vocational and Technical Education, who are currently sheltering in Rivne Oblast, created a special symbol — the flag of their native Bakhmut.
This flag represents thousands of memories of their hometown, woven into every stitch, and a sign of deep gratitude to the community of Hoshcha, which has become a second home for the people of Bakhmut. The craftswomen of the VET Center sewed the fabric by hand to show that Bakhmut is, above all, the people who keep its fire burning in their souls.
During the solemn procession, the people of Bakhmut, together with local residents, carried the newly created symbol through the streets of the village side by side.
"We sewed this flag to remind everyone that Bakhmut is Ukraine. And today we carry it through the streets of Hoshcha with pride, feeling the support of our new friends. This is true unity," emphasized Ihor Haievyi, director of the educational institution.
We have proven once again that we are united, we are together, and we will definitely return home.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
