#SideBySide
As part of the nationwide program “Side by Side: United Communities,” a memorandum was signed between the Chasovoyarsk community in Donetsk Oblast and the Uman community in Cherkasy Oblast.
This symbolic but extremely important step is yet another confirmation that even in the most difficult times, Ukrainians are capable of uniting, cooperating, and building a common future together.
The signing of the memorandum was not just a formality — it was a powerful signal of unity, support, and readiness for constructive interaction. Joint actions, exchange of experience, mutual assistance, and mutual understanding — all this creates a solid foundation for sustainable community development.
One of the first steps was to support elderly people who were forced to leave their homes because of the war.
Twenty elderly residents of the Chasovoyarsk community are currently temporarily living in the Uman community's Veterans' Home.
Providing them with comfortable living conditions and proper care has become a priority within the partnership.
In addition, important agreements were reached during the meeting on:
🔹 the possibility of further accommodation for elderly people in need;
🔹 establishing cooperation in the field of education;
🔹 joint work with young people and support for children's initiatives.
After all, children and young people are the future of Ukraine, which we are creating today.
The Side by Side: United Communities project proves once again that unity, mutual respect, and joint efforts are the strength of the Ukrainian people. Together, we will overcome all difficulties and build a strong, free, and prosperous Ukraine!
