During the fall break, students from the Soledar community visited the hospitable Drohobych community in Lviv Oblast, where they were able to not only relax, but also discover new experiences, knowledge, and acquaintances.
The visit program was rich and informative:
- a meeting with the mayor of Drohobych, Taras Kuchma, during which the teenagers had the opportunity to ask questions to the head of the community, share their thoughts, and talk about their impressions of their stay in the Drohobych region;
- a trip to the Drohobych Town Hall, where they saw incredible views from a bird's eye view;
- a visit to the Drohobych Saltworks, where they learned about the salt production process.
The young salt workers also
- saw the ancient St. George's Church, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site;
- had an unforgettable experience at the Zoo;
- got acquainted with the city of Truskavets, which is known for its health opportunities and picturesque nature.
The children's vacation was made possible by the national project "Side by Side: United Communities."
This visit helped deepen the partnership between the communities and was an important step in further cooperation and the development of new joint initiatives!
