As part of the national project "Shoulder to Shoulder: United Communities," aimed at supporting communities affected by armed aggression, students from the city of Pokrovsk spent a week visiting the city of Sheptytsky in Lviv region.
During the week, the children traveled around Lviv region, got acquainted with local traditions, lifestyle, and history. They not only paddled in kayaks but also rode horses, engaged in pottery, discovered historical landmarks, and exchanged experiences with their peers. The students from Pokrovsk also visited the "Unity" hub, where the Pokrovsk Military Administration provides support to our fellow citizens in Lviv region.
The symbolic conclusion of the visit was the planting of a Tree of Friendship. Together with their mentors, peers from Sheptytsky, and representatives of local authorities, the children planted a young maple tree near the city council — as a sign of unity between communities, a symbol of hope and peace.
