Department and management leaders of the social and humanitarian block of the regional state administration visited institutions, establishments, and other locations in safer regions of Ukraine, where assistance is provided to residents of the Donetsk region.
On the first day of the working trip, the delegation inspected the work of the communal institution "Regional Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation," which is temporarily located in the village of Ositna in the Cherkasy region.
This institution was evacuated from Sviatohirsk after the start of active hostilities. Currently, it provides social services to people who have undergone treatment for drug or psychotropic substance dependencies and need support in the process of social adaptation.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the conditions of clients' stay and communicated with the specialists of the institution. Special attention was paid to the successful practice of involving clients in community life. They assist village residents with daily tasks and participate in joint initiatives, which contributes to their integration and the formation of a responsible lifestyle.
The center also conducts preventive work with the local population regarding overcoming dependencies and preventing cases of domestic violence.
Despite the change of location, the center continues its important work. Our goal is to ensure the continuity of social services and comprehensive support for those in need of help and recovery.
