On August 22, the online event "Hear the Hero" dedicated to the National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine was held, during which young people from different parts of Donetsk Oblast had the opportunity to talk to the Hero of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Youth Council of Novohrodivka City Council with the support of Donetsk Regional State Administration.
The event was attended by Lilia Zolkina, Head of the Department for Family, Youth and Mass Events of National and Patriotic Education of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Artur Nasibyan, Head of the Department for Veterans' Policy, and Olga Sidorova, Deputy Mayor of Novogrodovka.
The main guest of the meeting was war veteran, Mariupol defender and former prisoner of war Sergey Mozharovsky. He bravely defended our country, went through the hardships of war and proved by his example that the true strength of a Ukrainian soldier is in his unbreakable spirit and love for his homeland.
During the event, the attendees had the opportunity to talk to the hero, ask him questions and hear the story of his struggle firsthand. Serhiy sincerely shared his memories, interesting stories and personal experience with children and young people, which became a source of inspiration and faith in victory for the young listeners.
This is the 9th meeting within the project of the military with the young generation of Donetsk region. In total, more than 1200 children have joined this initiative, which is reaching more and more communities and providing even more opportunities to hear the living stories of real defenders of Ukraine.
Such events not only form children's understanding of modern history, but also foster respect for our Heroes, their deeds and invincibility. They help the younger generation realize that each of us can be strong and courageous in the fight for freedom, and the memory of the heroic deeds of the defenders will forever remain in the hearts of Ukrainians.
