To support our defenders, the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theater (Mariupol) visited soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Dnipro Prosthesis Rehabilitation Center in Dnipro after suffering serious injuries with a poetic and musical program called “Unbreakable.” After all, their recovery is very important for Ukraine and for all of us.

The program was created for a reason. Theatre Without Roof is the name given to the theater that was relocated to Uzhhorod from occupied Mariupol, which was left without premises and property, with a deep wound in its heart, but unconquered and ready to move forward. The actors, who survived the start of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops in Mariupol, the destruction of the city, and the loss of lives, survived and continue to fight against the enemy through art.

They understand better than anyone what is needed for the emotional and psychological recovery of our heroes.

It was not just a concert with elements of contemporary Ukrainian poetry, songs, theatrical stories, stand-up comedy, pantomime, and miniatures; it was solace for the soul, an opportunity to forget the pain and anxiety for a moment. The actors gave our defenders not only art, but also a sense of gratitude for their feat. The actors gave their art, and the audience gave their unforgettable emotions. This is another step towards overcoming trauma, where culture helps with emotional recovery.

The words of sincere gratitude from the heroes were the best proof of how important our support is to them.

We bow low to all those who fought and continue to fight for our independence. Thank you to our defenders!
