#ShoulderToShoulder
As part of the national project "Shoulder to Shoulder: United Communities," the second creative meeting of the literary associations "Suchasnyk" (Druzhkivka) and "Kalynove Hrono" (Zhmerinka) took place.
This project aims to strengthen the ties between communities, create a space for communication, mutual understanding, and co-creation. And what, if not poetry, can touch human souls so deeply? Perhaps the first poem in the world was a prayer, or maybe a confession of love. Yet throughout all times, poetry has remained a living thread that connects people across space and time.
During the meeting, poets generously shared their own works, literary reflections, and inspiration.
Tetyana Tan, the head of the "Suchasnyk" association, read a poignant poem "Ukrainian Madonna," dedicated to our women — so tender and yet unbreakable.
The poems of Nadiya Boro and Alla Lubinska are stories about the mundane and the eternal, about joy and sorrow, about quiet tenderness and deep anxiety.
Nina Syachova performed the touching "Song about Mom," which touched the heart of everyone.
And Liliya Kogut, impressed by the first Druzhkivka meeting, this time brought her own poem about the brave residents of Druzhkivka — those who remain on their land, love it, and defend it.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of trust, inspiration, and sincerity, like a mosaic of poetic colors, memories, and dreams. Time passed unnoticed, but left a feeling of deep unity. In every word, in every line, hope, faith, and a shared desire to create flickered.
And perhaps very soon, a joint poetry collection will appear in the libraries of Druzhkivka and Zhmerinka — as a symbol of friendship, mutual understanding, and the power of words.
